Estate Managers
Estate managers are top-level household staff, responsible for managing a large household or multiple properties for the same employer. They maintain a high level of service, working directly with the employer. Estate managers act as the head of all household staff, supervising gardeners, housekeepers, chefs, and other domestic care workers, usually in more than one location.
Heritage Nanny estate managers are knowledgeable in personnel and property management. They also have a wide range of expertise in project management, event planning, accounting, budgeting, landscaping, and security system management. Estate manager candidates typically have business, engineering, or property maintenance backgrounds.
Duties
- Setting and maintaining household service standards
- Creating and updating a household service manual
- Hiring, training, and managing domestic staff
- Processing payroll
- Paying household bills
- Conducting accounting
- Creating budgets
- Assisting with property-related purchases
- Finding, screening, and overseeing vendors and contractors
- Managing property renovation projects
- Supervising landscaping and pool maintenance
- Supervising the maintenance of vehicles and yachts
- Planning and executing social events
Schedules
Full-time estate managers generally work between 40 to 50 hours per week. Schedules vary greatly depending on the family, their individual needs, and the level of travel and flexibility required. Some estate managers work a traditional schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Rates
Our placement counselors will work closely with you to develop a competitive compensation package based upon your family’s needs. Rates for full-time or part-time estate managers vary greatly depending on the estate manager’s experience, the position duties, preferred schedule, and the level of travel and flexibility required in the role. In addition to their wages most full-time estate manager receive, the following benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, paid holidays/sick days and more.
