Part-Time Nannies

Whether you need consistent after-school care or an extra set of hands a few days per week, our part-time nannies are here to help! Our candidate pool includes experienced nannies looking to pick up extra hours, former camp counselors who can keep kids busy for hours on end, and college students seeking an after-school position that fits with their class schedule. The background, experience, and personality of each nanny is unique but they all embody the qualities that to us, are most important – loyalty, honesty, dependability, and a true love of working with children.

Duties

Part-time nannies responsibilities vary depending on the household, but often include full care of the children (bathing, dressing, feeding), engaging in creative play, driving the children to and from school and extra-curricular activities, assisting with homework, light tidying related to the children’s activities, and making simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children.

Schedules

Part-time nannies generally work between 20-25 hours per week. Schedules vary depending on the families needs but often include working either mornings or afternoons, assisting the family a couple full days per week, working weekends, or providing after-school care. Due to the nature of part-time work, your nanny is likely fitting her work schedule around other jobs or classes. It is important that you have a pre-determined set schedule as flexibility with part-time nannies is limited.

Rates

We will work closely with you to develop a competitive compensation package based upon your family’s needs. Rates for part-time nannies vary greatly depending on the nanny’s experience, the position duties, preferred schedule, and the level of travel and flexibility required in the role. Current rates for part-time nannies are between $17-$25 per hour. In addition to their wages most part-time nannies receive the following benefits: paid vacation and paid holidays/sick days.
