Duties
- Answering residence phone
- Greeting guests
- Driving children and other family members
- Running errands

- Light housekeeping (picking up around the house)
- Maintaining family calendars

- Purchasing concert, theater, and sporting event tickets
- Researching vacation destinations
- Purchasing airfare tickets, hotels, car rentals
- Planning home entertainment events
- Sorting out mail and answering inquiry letters
- Managing household budget and paying bills
- Supervising other household staff
- Taking family’s vehicle for oil changes, services, and repairs
- Overseeing lawn care and sprinkler system services
- Supervising home repairs and maintenance services
Schedules
Full-time household manager generally work between 38 to 44 hours per week. Schedules vary greatly depending on the family, their individual needs, and the level of travel and flexibility required. Some household managerwork a traditional schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Our team of placement counselors will work with you to determine the schedule that would best suit your needs.
Rates
Our placement counselors will work closely with you to develop a competitive compensation package based upon your family’s needs. Rates for full-time or part-time household manager vary greatly depending on the household manager’s experience, the position duties, preferred schedule, and the level of travel and flexibility required in the role. In addition to their wages most full-time household managers receive the following benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, and paid holidays/sick days.
